Stainton Village lies between Doncaster and Rotherham in South Yorkshire, England.
There are 90 houses in the village and approximately 170 residents.
Stainton has a long history dating back to the 1200's and before.

Stainton Village Church
This beautiful church dates back at least to Norman times (11th Century), although there are indications of Saxon architecture within the building. Later additions were made to the church in the 14th and 15th Centuries.
The Stone Cross dates from 1919 when Rev Claude Tickell, the then vicar of Stainton, raised it as a place of remembrance for residents killed during the Great War.
Parish Council
Stainton Parish includes the villages of Stainton, Wilsic and Lambcote Grange.
The Parish Council meets to discuss and take action on matters local to these villages

Stainton Village Hall Trust
The trust is responsible for managing the Village Hall and for organising events social and other events around the village. Regular events are choir visits to the church, visits from brass bands playing Christmas tunes and an annual fun day involving fun sports and other activities.
